As anyone got one of these as reading on other forums they seem to be a bit of a wash out as software is not working well it sounds cheap to buy but you have not finished there as you need to subscribe to a monthly update or something which seems like a bit of a waste of money. eric :86:

Sound good on paper and looks flash but imo think thats where it all ends,  there are still major problems with it and the release of updates and promised expansion hardware...

TBH i rather buy a nice Mystery wrasse or Helfric firefish for the money...LOL

I have one and I'm pleased with it.
It alerted me to a slightly higher temp once.
The ammonia level is a handy "quick" indicator. PH is bit too sensitive but after testing with the usual test kits, ph, ammonia and temp readings can be re calibrated on the desktop software.
At the moment it works through my PC so it has to stay on, but I saw at the Aquatic live show that they are working on a direct network connection.
I've found it a good "guide" but does not substitute testing.

I have the Seneye Reef, I've tested the pH against my pH monitor on my AC Jr and my API test kit, it seems to be accurate, the ammonia with my API kit shows zero the Seneye shows .001 and the temperature is within  half a degree Fahrenheit of my AC Jr....

I don't know much about the PAR meter yet but it does have that as well, the PAR meter also measures LUX and Kelvin.....

I like that it is always monitoring my tank and will send me an email or text if it sees a problem, I wish Seneye would hurry and release the parameter testing stuff for the more vital parameters like calcium and alkalinity...

for the price, if the PAR meter is even close to correct, I think it's worth having...even if the PAR meter is off, it will still show you where the light is most intense in the tank and help with coral placement

They said that last year at the show at Olympia.
I'll believe it when I see it!

they claim to have the more critical parameter measuring equipment ready too, just waiting on some patent stuff, have you seen anything more on that ?
